ORDER

DICLERICO, District Judge.

The plaintiff, Tara Gorski, brought suit under Title VII against the defendant, the New Hampshire Department of Corrections ( NHDOC), on December 6,1999. On December 10, 1999, Gorski sent NHDOC a request for waiver of service of summons. On January 10, 2000, NHDOC waived service of summons and returned a signed waiver to Gor-ski. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12 requires a defendant to serve an answer within 60 days after the date when a request for waiver was sent. See Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(a)(1)(B).
