Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Albany County (Herrick, J.), rendered January 12, 2012, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of burglary in the second degree.

The victim heard and did not respond to knocking on the front door of his apartment on an afternoon in March 2011. Less than a minute later, he heard louder knocking at the back door.
