This is a direct appeal from a judgment of the district court declaring the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act 1 void as viola-tive of various provisions of the Texas Constitution. Appellants have filed a statement of jurisdiction; appellees have responded. See Tex.R.App.P. 140(c).
