Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Clinton County (Feinberg, J.), rendered December 17, 1984, convicting defendant upon his *929plea of guilty of the crime of grand larceny in the third degree.

In January 1984, defendant was indicted on five counts of grand larceny in the third degree and three counts of petit larceny. The charges stemmed from defendant’s alleged failure to return electronic equipment left at his repair shop by customers and his failure to return deposits left for repairs which he never completed.
