This is an action of ejectment brought by the defendant in error, Brown. He had a verdict and judgment, subject to exceptions. These were taken to the Supreme Coürt of Hawaii by writ of error, the Supreme Court overruled the exceptions and affirmed the judgment below, and the case then was brought to this court. A motion to dismiss was made, on the grounds that the Supreme Court had no authority to enter final judgment, that it does not appear that the property in question is worth five thousand dollars, and that the plaintiffs in error are estopped to say that it has that value by their tax…
