Plaintiff in error was convicted in the criminal court of Cook county, on a hearing before the court without a jury, of the crime of bigamy. He was sentenced on February 28, 1946, to the Illinois State Penitentiary for a term of not less than four years nor more than five years, and was fined one dollar. Appearing pro se, he claims here that his sentence was illegal because the minimum limit as set by the court is in excess of the maximum limit if credit is to be given him for good conduct, and that the amendment of 1943 to the Sentence and Parole Act is unconstitutional in that it delegates…
