The plaintiffs, Michael F. Schultz and Joyce J. Schultz, husband and wife, appeal from the appellate court’s judgment allowing the petition of Loretto Hospital to intervene in the plaintiff’s suit against the defendants, Timothy G. Gotlund, Richard Gotlund, Guy’s Steak House, and DBB Investors, Inc., for personal injuries and other damages. The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association filed a brief amicus curiae in support of the plaintiffs.
