The grand jury of New York county, on September 8, 1936, and September 22, 1936, directed the district attorney to file informations in the Court of Special Sessions of the City of New York charging Joseph Speiser and Frank White with violations of sections 270-a and 270-d of the Penal Law. These sections prohibit the solicitation of legal business on behalf of an attorney or the employment by an attorney of a person to solicit legal business.
