Dillard, Chief Judge.
Following trial, a jury convicted Isaac Johnson on three counts of voluntary manslaughter, one count of aggravated battery, one count of aggravated assault, and one *653 count of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. Johnson now appeals his convictions and the denial of his motion for new trial, arguing that the trial court erred in denying his claim that trial counsel rendered ineffective assistance by failing to object to a jury instruction on the law of mutual combat. For the reasons set forth infra , we affirm.
