This is an action on the case for alienation and criminal conversation. The plea is the general issue with notice of special matter, which includes a release of the alleged cause of action. A trial by jury having resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff, the defendant moved that the same be set aside *133on the ground (among others) that it was excessive.
