J. T. Moreland and W. A. Moreland, hereinafter referred to as plaintiffs, instituted this action in the district court of McCurtain county against Cleo C. Shaffer and Florence Shaffer, hereinafter referred to as defendants, wherein it was sought to obtain possession of a tract of land consisting of 8.92 acres and to quiet title thereto. Defendants by their pleadings conceded that plaintiffs’ title was superior to their own, but alleged that they were entitled to relief under the Occupying Claimants Act (ch. 3, art. 8, O.
