At the general election in November, 1916, a large majority of the voters of Wyandotte county voted in favor of the erection of a courthouse to cost $400,000, and to raise this sum by the issuance of bonds. The board of county commissioners had taken all the preliminary steps and was about to issue the bonds of the county to build the courthouse when the state, on the relation of the attorney-general, brought this action to enjoin the issuance of the bonds.
