STAKELY, Justice.
This case involves the power of the Board of Compromise under § 12, Title 55, Code of 1940. The case comes here on appeal from a decree of the equity court sustaining the demurrer of Virgil Brooks and others, appellees, to a bill of complaint as last aménded filed by the State of Alabama, appellant.
The bill was filed by the State of Alabama to foreclose and enforce against the property of Virgil H. Brooks a tax lien in favor of the State of Alabama. A certificate thereof was duly filed by the State of Alabama on June 21, 1945, in the office of the judge of probate of Calhoun…
