KRAVITCH, Circuit Judge:

Oscar Maldonado-Ramirez appeals his sentence under 8 U.S.C. § 1326 for illegally entering the United States after being deported. 1 The district court imposed a lengthy jail sentence because it concluded that, under the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, Maldonado-Ramirez’s previous convictions for aggravated assault and at tempted burglary qualified as “aggravated felonies” and required a sixteen-level adjustment to the base offense level for violations of § 1326.
