William J. Schmitz appealed from the referee's findings and conclusions that he engaged in professional misconduct and from the referee's recommendation that his license to practice law in Wisconsin be suspended for 60 days as discipline for it. The misconduct consisted of Attorney Schmitz's failure to provide competent representation and pursue client matters with the requisite diligence and promptness, his failure to put client funds into a trust account and maintain required records of that account and his false certification…
