Dagoberto Gonzales brought suit against Patrick Athey and Crane Carrier Co. (“Crane”) for injuries sustained in a rollover accident that occurred while he was driving a garbage truck manufactured and sold by Crane. Crane brought third party actions for statutory and common law indemnification against component part manufacturers Bostrom Seating, Inc. (“Bostrom”), the manufacturer of the driver’s seat utilized in the garbage truck, and Beams Industries, Inc. (“Beams”), the manufacturer of the driver’s side seat belt.
