HENDERSON, Judge.
Tried below on a habeas corpus proceeding before Hon. J. C. Russell, Judge of the Twenty-eighth Judicial Distinct.
The relator, John T. Parker, ivas convicted at the spring term, A. D. 1892, of the District Court of Nueces County, of murder of the first degree, and his punishment assessed at confinement in the penitentiary for life. Sentence was passed on him, and from the judgment and sentence he prosecuted an appeal to this court.
