Plaintiff, Emmanuel Williams, appeals from an order of the circuit court of Cook County granting the summary judgment motion of defendant, the Independence Bank of Chicago, and denying plaintiff’s motion for reconsideration of the court’s previous denial of his summary judgment motion. The trial court found that defendant owed no duty to notify plaintiff of pending foreclosure proceedings on property in which he had no beneficial interest.
