This action was commenced in the district court of Saline County by plaintiff-appellee Junko Kendall against her former husband, Keith R. Kendall, for division of property and alimony pursuant to K.S.A. 60-1611. Keith appeals from the judgment entered by the trial court.

At the outset we note that the only testimony in the trial court was that of Mrs. Kendall, a Japanese who obviously experiences some difficulty with the English language. It is difficult to determine from the trial transcript, printed record and briefs the exact time sequence…
