A jury in the Superior Court returned a special verdict awarding damages to the plaintiff against the defendant, Quorum Health Resources, Inc. (Quorum). The jury found that a nurse, Linda Farrag (Farrag), who was employed by the city *425of Quincy (city), and working in the emergency room of Quincy City Hospital (hospital), had negligently injured the plaintiff.
