On the 11th day of November, 1921, Mrs. Pearl Ruffin and her sister, Mrs. Slade, who had been attending Armistice Day memorial services at the Methodist ■church on Main street, in Danville, were going home on the southern or left hand side of Main street. At the point of the accident the street is forty-six feet wide between curbs and has a double line of street car tracks in the middle of the street, and from the north rail to the north curb of the street is fifteen feet nine inches.
