The Central Foundry Company of Medina, N. Y., for the benefit of its employees (including the intestate), took out a policy of life insurance in the Travelers Insurance Company of Hartford Conn., dated January 1, 1918, providing that upon the death of any employee it would pay to the beneficiary of such deceased *500employee a certain amount of insurance ranging from $500 to $1,500 according to the length of service of such employee.
