SEYMOUR, Circuit Judge.

John Edward Richard appeals from a restitution order against him issued under the Victim and Witness Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 3579, 3580 (1982). 1 The Act provides inter alia that a court “shall impose an order of restitution to the extent ... the imposition of such order will not unduly complicate or prolong the sentencing process.” 18 U.S.C. § 3579(d).
