Bodine, J.

This is a workmen’s compensation case.

There was an award in the Bureau and an affirmance thereof in the Court of Common Pleas.

There is but one factual question to be settled and that is whether the petitioner was an independent contractor or an employee. We think the former.

The rule of law was stated by Mr. Justice Trenehard in the ease of Errickson v. Schwiers Co., 108 N. J. L. 481, 483, as follows:

“An independent contractor is one who, carrying on an independent business, contracts to do a piece of work according to his own methods, and…
