This is an action to settle tbe title to land described in tbe pleadings, tbe plaintiff and defendant eacb claiming under tbe Piedmont Plantation Company, as tbe origin of title. Tbe Piedmont Plantation Company conveyed tbe land to A. Legler, 20 April, 1912; and on tbe same day A. Legler, to secure tbe purchase money, made a mortgage to it.
