This is a suit by a stockholder of the defendant company to have a receiver appointed to take charge of the property and business of the corporation, on the ground that its business is being conducted contrary to law. The plaintiff describes in her petition, with minute detail, the method and manner in which, she alleges, the defendant corporation is conducting its business, and she complains that the alleged method of conducting the business is in violation of a criminal statute, the Act No. 57 of 1908, commonly called the Locke Law.
