MONTEITH, Chief Justice.

This action was brought by appellees, C. Y. Bradshaw and others, for recovery on a promissory note for the sum of $13,346 executed and delivered by appellants to appellees as the purchase price for certain drilling equipment and for foreclosure of a .chattel mortgage lien on said equipment securing the payment of said note. Appellants answered, alleging there was no consideration for the note and that execution thereof had been induced to purchase said equipment by fraudulent misrepresentations.
