This is a bill in equity to restrain the defendants from the alleged infringement of the first, second, sixth, tenth, and thirteenth claims of letters patent No. 271, 398, dated January 30, 1883, to John G. Baker, for improvements in mechanism for cutting up plastic or yielding substances. Upon a motion for a preliminary injunction in this case, the first and second claims of the patent, the history of the art, so far as then disclosed, and the patentability of the invention were examined.
