Following his involuntary retirement as a police lieutenant for the City of Gloucester, Massachusetts (“the City”), plaintiff-appellant Arthur Sheehan brought a complaint in the District Court for the District of Massachusetts pursuant to the Americans With Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq. (“ADA”), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq. (“ADEA”). The district court awarded summary judgment in favor of the defendant-appellees, Gloucester Chief of Police James Marr and the City of Gloucester. Sheehan now appeals.…
