This is a suit brought by a real estate broker to recover his commission under a listing contract.

Defendant, Carol Ann Tynes, owned a 65-acre tract of land, apparently her separate property, in Natchitoches, which she was thinking of selling. Plaintiff, Melvin Stevens, a real estate broker, thought that the Natchitoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO), a federally funded organization, was interested in purchasing the land.
