SPROUSE, Circuit Judge.

Mary Love, a black female, appeals from a judgment of the district court, 581 F.Supp. 1079, entered in favor of defendant Alamance County, North- Carolina, Board of Education in this action brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(l) (1982), and 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983 (1982). The district court held that the Board did not discriminate on the basis of race or sex when it refused on several occasions to promote Love to a position as principal or assistant principal.
