This is an appeal from a judgment of the Erie County Court of Common Pleas which denied appellants’ motion for summary judgment and granted appellees’ cross-motion for summary judgment.

The facts relevant to this appeal are as follows. In the 1990-1991 school year, David Frank Workman (“Workman”) was a tenth grade student in appellant Bryan’s (“Bryan”) high school biology course at Vermilion High for both semesters.
