Concededly, the Workmen’s Compensation Law is valid, and its terms, in effect, enter into every contract of employment embraced within its various groups. (Matter of Post v. Burger & Gohlke, 216 N. Y. 544.)
The State Industrial Commission has general jurisdiction over all questions of compensation, and when a claim apparently within the law is presented to it, and the employer and insurance carrier are duly notified of it and of the hearing thereof, the Commission has general jurisdiction of the subject-matter and of the parties.
