OPINION
ROGERS, Circuit Judge.
Plaintiffs, Johnny Howard, Sally Howard, and United Management Co., L.L.C. (“United”), appeal from the district court’s order granting summary judgment to the defendants on the grounds that plaintiffs’ claims are barred by the applicable statute of limitations. Plaintiffs’ complaint alleged that a property lot was transferred pursuant to a 1983 tax sale in violation of the Michigan General Property Tax Act, and that the transfer amounted to a taking in violation of the Michigan and United States Constitutions.
