SMITH, Circuit Judge.
In this employment discrimination case, Juan Bass (“Bass”) appeals summary judgment in favor of his former employer, SBC Communications, Inc. (“SBC”), on Bass’s claims under the Americans With Disabilities Act (“ADA”). We affirm.
I. Background
SBC employed Bass as a Network Center Technician in May 2001. In September 2002, SBC placed Bass on short term disability (“STD”) because of physical limitations caused by the medical conditions Raynauds Syndrome and Scleroderma.
