OPINION

KETHLEDGE, Circuit Judge.

John Drummond killed a three month-old girl when he fired an assault rifle at her home. An Ohio jury convicted Drum-mond of murder and sentenced him to death. The Ohio Supreme Court affirmed. Drummond thereafter sought federal ha-beas relief, which the district court granted on the ground that the trial court had violated Drummond’s Sixth Amendment rights when it partially closed the courtroom for the testimony of three witnesses during his trial.
