This is an appeal from the grant of partial summary judgment to the plaintiff Wynne on the issue of liability of the defendant First National Bank of Atlanta (bank). Mrs. Wynne sold a tract of land to the Baier Corporation. The Baier Corporation subsequently transferred the property to Woods Mill, Ltd. The bank issued a "letter of credit” on behalf of Woods Mill to Mrs. Wynne which stated — in pertinent part:
