MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

FEIKENS, District Judge.

Plaintiff, Jeffery Sanders, is incarcerated at the Huron Valley Men’s Facility (“HVMF”) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Sanders seeks damages under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 from various HVMF officials who allegedly violated his constitutional rights. Shortly before this bench trial, Sanders dismissed his second appointed counsel, choosing to continue on a pro se basis. Sanders also explicitly waived his right to a jury trial.
