1. Where, on the trial of one indicted for selling liquor to a minor, the evidence relied on for a conviction was the testimony of the minor; and where it was sought to impeach this witness by evidence tending to show that the witness, against whom an indictment for some offense was then pending, had, before the trial, stated that the prosecuting officer of the court had agreed to quash the indictment pending against the witness and pay him a sum of money in addition i-f he would testify that he bought whisky from the accused then on trial, it was error to charge the jury, in substance, that…
