The State of Florida seeks certiorari review of the circuit court’s order which denied the state’s motion to compel a witness (an employee of respondent) to testify about a incident that took place at the Center For Drug Free Living, which involved a client of the Center. The trial court ruled that the applicable state and federal statutes only require an employee of a drug treatment facility to disclose information regarding a drug-related offense when ordered to do so by a court, and that reports regarding drug offenses committed at the Center must be made solely to the drug…
