This suit was instituted in the district court of Lubbock county by Linn, as plaintiff, against Griffin, as defendant, to recover damages for false representations alleged to have been made by Griffin to the plaintiff in the sale of 'stock in a land corporation operating in the Republic of Mexico. On trial before a jury, and on the verdict of the jury, the trial court rendered judgment for the plaintiff, and the defendant has appealed from such judgment.
