The opinion of February 22, 2002, is withdrawn, and the following is substituted therefor.1

F.P., the biological father (“the father”), and R.P., the paternal grandmother (sometimes hereinafter called “the grandmother”), appealed to the Court of Civil Appeals from a judgment entered by the trial court in favor of J.K.M. and S.L.M. (“the adoptive parents”).
