On the 6th day of August, 1879, James McCauley, being the owner of certain personal property in Streator, LaSalle county, consisting of certain buildings and property thereon, situated on leased land, executed a chattel mortgage on the property to Henry W. and James C. Rogers, to secure money then due and money to become due, the mortgage to remain in force for a period of twenty-three months.
