Briefly stated, the theory of the state primarily is that the car spring corner is the original S.E. corner of River survey 70 as located by Kuechler; the S.W. corner of 70, which is the beginning corner of survey 3, is 4,112 varas west of the S.E. corner of 70. From this S.W. corner of 70, survey No. 3 is to be located according to the course and distance calls of its corrected field notes disregarding the calls for the N.W. and S.W. corners of River surveys 69, 68, 67, 545, and 65.
