—Per Curiam.

Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Torraca, J.), entered October 4, 1988 in Sullivan County, which dismissed petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Election Law § 16-102, to declare invalid the certificate of nomination naming respondent Richard Conroy as the Republican Party candidate for the public office of Assessor in the Town of Bethel in the November 8, 1988 general election.
