This case is on appeal to review the district court’s findings that Leandro Gonzales, a Bexar County jail guard, was discriminated against on the basis of age by officials in the Bexar County Sheriff’s office, in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq. (ADEA). Because we find that the equities in this case rendered Gonzales’s failure to fully comply with the administrative filing requirements of the ADEA excusable, and that the district court properly interpreted the applicable law and was not clearly erroneous in…
