Defendant John Bertram appeals, following a jury trial in the Will County Circuit Court, from a conviction of unlawful delivery of lysergic acid diethylamide (commonly called LSD), a controlled substance, in violation of section 401(a) (8) of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 56%, par. 1401(a)(8)).
