MORROW, Circuit Judge.
This was an action brought by the United States in the United States Circuit Court for the District of Idaho to recover the sum of $10,745.67 from the defendant in error, a New Jersey corporation doing business in Idaho, the alleged value of certain logs and lumber which the United States claimed were unlawfully cut from the public domain during the year 1898, and con*505verted by the defendant in error to its own use.
