By this appeal the defendants seek to reverse a decree of the superior court of Cook county awarding complainant a mechanics’ lien, on certain premises in Chicago, in the sum of $20,981.00.

The record discloses that complainant is a corporation engaged in constructing buildings in Chicago; that on February 6, 1917, the defendant H. W. Sisson was the owner of certain real estate located at 53rd street and Lake Michigan, Chicago, and on that date he entered into a written contract, whereby the complainant was to construct for Sisson an eleven-story apartment hotel on the premises, and in…
