The State appeals the trial court’s grant of William Nelson Pritchett’s motion to suppress evidence related to one count of violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. The trial court based its ruling upon a finding that there was no evidentiary basis of record for the pat-down search or the search that followed. The trial court held, inter alia, that:
